In 18 years of owning various homes, no kitchen or washroom gets past me untouched. I consider myself a very capable, intermediate renovator who has experience using a variety of contractors along the way. I undertook a complete, top to bottom, gut renovation of a typical Toronto semi-detached house with Mather Fine Homes. My project was small in size but large in scope, given the extent of work; including underpinning the basement & converting an exterior porch into a highly functional entry to the home.

There was some uncertainty regarding particular elements of the restoration & renovation, which were noted in advance. Due to the knowledge, experience, collaborative rapport & problem solving expertise that the Mathers brought to the project I can confidently say I felt well prepared for the possibilities and therefore, there were no surprises.

All budget adjustments were made as informed choices, at my sole discretion. The project was otherwise completed entirely on budget, as quoted. In fact, I had money left in my secret “contingency fund”.

Along the way I appreciated the recommendations, expertise & guidance from Mather Fine Homes. They were fully engaged in the process, listening to my concerns, adopting my vision & respecting my priorities all while executing to a noteworthy standard. Since moving in, I have come to most appreciate the “after sales” service regarding questions and/or items needing follow-up. I am thrilled with the final product, especially the quality of workmanship & keen attention to detail.

I don’t know when, I don’t know where but there will be another project AND the Mathers will be a key part of my team! Without hesitation I would recommend Mather Fine Homes (and have on many occasions). In my experience, they may not have the lowest quote but they will have the most accurate one with the added assurance of a job well done!
